Green Fest
On 26th June 2007, I went to Green Fest with a bunch of friends and RHCP were the headlining band. But that’s definitely not the whole story, as this event was completely unexpected, knowing that Serbia is a small country with a troubled recent history and not such a good standard. Organising an ambitious festival on a huge field next to the highroad, halfway between the capital and the second largest city and inviting the world’s most popular band at the moment here was definitely a huge bite. So, the story here is covering the background of the whole event and the reactions after it; as well as the big day itself.
The page is still under construction, so be sure to check back every now and then.

Mandatory Info
- Green Fest was held on 26th June 2007.
- Green fest was held on a field 3km from the town of Inđija (that’s like India, just pronounced with dy instead of d!), the website of which can be found here.
- Inđija is a small town in Serbia. Serbia is a country on the Balkans. Balkans is a penisule in southeastern Europe…actually, Balkans IS southeastern Europe.
- Serbia is not Siberia. We have four seasons. Siberia is a part of Russia located in northern Asia.
- The capital of Serbia is Beograd, but you probably know it as Belgrade. Either way, it’s a huge city on three river banks and two rivers. It’s a well-developed European metropolis and its population is more than 2 000 000 people, suburbs included.
