Billie Joe Armstrong is a John fan
15:25:11 CET | Viewed 492 times |
(Thanks to funkymonkeygirl from OHG forums)
In the February issue of Guitar Player, Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day singer/guitarist, talks about style, influence, direction, etc.
Do you rely on any specific influences?
I go for the classics-anything from the Beatles to Social Distortion. Specifically regarding guitarists, I love Steve Jones and Johnny Ramone, and I also love John Frusciante.

Second January update
23:51:59 CET | Viewed 618 times |
Sorry that it’s been annoying 10 days without an update, your webmaster (or webmistress, as you like) is having problems with slow internet connection and desperately slow uploads. But, there are many updates, so read on
The wallpapers have been reorganised since there are too many of them. So, now, on on this page you can see wallpapers made by me and on here are the wallpapers made by visitors/contributors. Both of the pages have been updated.
Articles section has been updated as well, with 4 reviews, one interview and one newspaper article. That newspaper article is all fresh and new and, thanks to Sandra, you can see how it originally looks like. Note that the photos are huge in size.

Page three
The big photo from the first page, can be found in the recent magazine photos page and on one of the wallpapers I made two days ago, by request.
Links section has been updated as well, same goes for credits. I also fixed mistakes on some pages, there’s still an error associated to the guestbook (though it’s possible to sign it), and I apologise for that inconvinience. And, one contributor requested a name change on the photos she donated, so that is completed too.

Yup, Happy New Year 2005, if there’s anything to wish after such a disastrous ending to 2004. Anyway..
John is featured in two magazines and thanks to peacefield and mko from Ramparts forum, here are the rough scans.

Some of you might recognise the pictures, they’re from Ross Halfin’s site, the photoshoot took place sometime a year ago..from that moment John has been a bit bitter about Tom Morello. Repeating, the photos are one year old.

The article is in Japanese and I am looking for a translator. If there’s a site visitor who’s fluent in Japanese, please do email me at iva@invisible-movement.net and you could make many of the fellow fans happy.

Updated again
23:22:09 CET | Viewed 624 times |
- Two more reviews added, one of them thanks to Grete
- Three more wallpapers by me and one by Dee Dee added. And, by the way, Dee Dee is very talented and she suggested me to add some more of her wallpapers, so you will see them soon, most likely after the New Year.
- Invisible Movement now has some kind of a store. You can find almost all of the releases here and order them from amazon.com and amazon.co.uk. The small percent of the orders which goes to i-m.net will be used for more space and bandwidth.
Cheers

John on one of Rolling Stone critic’s top 10 for 2004
23:47:03 CET | Viewed 933 times |
Here is a bunch of lists made by Rolling Stone’s critics who were choosing their top ten albums of the year. One of them, named Rob O’Connor put John on his list…twice!
…
4. Ataxia, Automatic Writing (Record Collection): This is what you get when you lock the Chili Peppers’ John Frusciante in a room after a night of listening to Nineties German Krautrock.
…
7. John Frusciante, Shadows Collide With People (Warner Bros.): As a solo act, Frusciante can do anything, and he’s determined to do just that as he dances from genre to genre.
