RHCP on TV Total last night

5:41:30 CET | Viewed 464 times | Comments Off

John on TV Total, 26th April 2006Red Hot Chili Peppers were, as announced before, Stefan Raab’s guests on TV Total show. There was a small interview with all four band members and a stunning live performance of Dani California. I recommend this wonderful review by a big fan from Germany; for anyone who’s interested.

TV Total has pics and videos of the event. Screencaps, a transcript and clips coming soon, very very soon.

Bits of news here and there…

22:24:33 CET | Viewed 547 times | Comments Off

As said on the RHCP.com, the Red Hots will be this week’s “house band” on MTV ber. As far as I’ve seen, the streaming version is also available. Click here for more information.

There’s an interview with John on the Tribune de Geneve website (Switzerland, for those who are not that good with geography…). It’s in French, translation coming soon; since some nice people offered their help. Until then, it can be read here.

A small reminder for those who live in Germany or have German TV channels on satellite or cable: The band will be on Stefan Raab’s TV Total show on Pro Sieben at 22:20 [10:20 PM] tommorow, on 26th April. Unfortunately, my new and improved computer hasn’t been put together yet, so I can’t record this for you. Hopefully, someone else will *hint-hint*. For those who don’t know, Stefan Raab is a comedian who even represented Germany on the 2000 Eurovision and, well, his approach will surely be interesting if there’s going to be an interview. Also, that will be the live premiere of Dani California on German TV.

John on the cover of the next Guitar World issue

23:31:46 CET | Viewed 471 times | Comments Off

John on the Cover of Guitar WorldAttention, ladies and gentlemen; John is on the cover of the next Guitar World issue.

The article is titled Sinner! Saint! The Two Sides Of John Frusciante! and, apparently, that title was inspired by the recent photographs taken by Ross Halfin. Some of those photos are probably featured in the article as well. The magazine comes with a CD-Rom attached and that CD-Rom features an interview with John and his lesson on how to play Under The Bridge. This issue of Guitar World will be out on 9th May. For more information and to check the magazine’s availability where you live, go to the website and, to view the trailer of the video lesson, click the preview image on their website or, for your convinience, go to the videos page on this website.

Also, invisible-movement.net has reached an impressive number of 200 000 unique visitors and I would like to thank everyone for enormous support. With people like you, even one million hits sounds like near future. Thank you:smile:

A fresh video interview

18:45:12 CET | Viewed 451 times | Comments Off

This surfaced earlier today somehow, even before the official RHCP site actually announced it…it’s an interview with the band where they’re talking about Dani California…song, not the video clip. John is talking for the longest time and, I guess you all recognise the sight of The Past Recedes video.

If you want to watch the streaming version of the video, go to this page and select your preferences.

If you’re having problems with streams, if they’re banned on your school or office computer, if your internet connection is an excuse for an internet connection; or if you use the stone-age-based 14.4/28.8/22.6 Kbps dial up…or, if you simply want to save the clip, try the links below.

video/audio
audio only

I can’t guarantee that these links are 100% safe, reliable and permanent, as they’re leading to a website with pop ups and I can’t guarantee that the downloads will work for users of all operating systems, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

As I always say, enjoy.

Even more on Frusciante/Smith/Hughes collaboration

23:10:46 CET | Viewed 389 times | Comments Off

As read on GHPG.net

Glenn Hughes’ new album, “Music for the Divine”, is due in June. And, as we all know, it’s produced by Chad Smith and John is contributing on many tracks, and he also wrote a song especially for mr. Hughes.

Songtitles set to appear on the album include “Oil and Water”, “Frail”, “Black Light”, “Stepping On” and “The Valiant Denial”. Also playing on the set is guitarist J.J. Marsh, who has appeared on Hughes’ last several solo releases.

Steeplechaser listens to John when training…

ANTHONY FAMIGLIETTI (steeplechase)
“John Frusciante, the guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has a song called “Second Walk”. My favorite lines are ‘There’s no time at all, except how you move. Be who you are, do what you do, not win or lose.’ Basically, what we do as runners is race the clock every day. I listened to his CD every day at the Olympics. I’d listen to it a half hour to an hour before a race.”

Problem fixed & an article recommendation

23:39:51 CET | Viewed 463 times | Comments Off

The non-working links to the Hyde Park ‘04 video clips have been fixed (thanks to David for telling me about this mistake), I apologise for the problem. They work now.

And this is a very interesting read. It’s about Ryan Hewitt, but it’s pretty much related to John:
