Leeds festival - 26th August 2007

First of all, until 03rd September, you can watch some of the Reading set at this URL. I know how to rip and I would rip it and extract the best parts for you, but my computer has a problem with the rstp protocol and it won’t even let me watch it. So, if anyone knows how to rip from the stream (as I assume I’m not the only person in the world with that superpower…), it would be nice if you could rip this
Yorkshire Evening Post review
NME review with a partial setlist. BTW, John did not do a solo at this show, for the first time after the Bilbao promo on 18th April 2006.
And this is what happened at Reading

More from Glasgow
6:31:01 CET | Viewed 1,099 times |
As the I-M.net regulars who went to Glasgow are probably still more resting, here are some nice off-site pics and reviews from the show.
Some wonderful pics…bookmark and check back as, from what I understood, there will be more.
Scotsman.com have posted a not-so pleasant review.
However, Evening Times says:
Opening with an instrumental jam, the Chilis took every opportunity to show off their virtuoso-like musicianship, with John Frusciante extracting never before heard noises from his guitar.
and also:
Meanwhile, Frusciante dropped to his knees for yet another over the top solo - like the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix, the riffs just kept coming.
To read the whole review, click here
Oh yes, and if you’re going to Reading and Leeds festivals and are intending to be in the pit, please do record whatever John sings and perhaps intro and outro jams!

06th July 2007 - Paris, France
23:24:21 CET | Viewed 1,621 times |
The show has just ended and the nice people of OHG have graced us with the setlist once again. And, well, there’s a new solo by John, Take It As It Comes, by The Doors. Random? No, it’s perfectly logical.
On 07th December 2006, in Vienna, John sang The Doors’ Blue Sunday, to pay tribute to the late Jim Morrison one day before his birthday. He sang it only once more, five days later and we never heard it again.
The day Jim died was 03rd July. However, he died in Paris, so paying a tribute to him in Chorzow wouldn’t make as much sense as doing it tonight, in the city where the famous singer spent his last days. Now, why this song and not Blue Sunday again? Well, that’s one thing I wouldn’t know, sorry.
So….mystery solved, here’s the setlist.

Live Earth RHCP setlist revealed
19:46:01 CET | Viewed 1,252 times |
According to NME, here’s what’s in store for the lucky ones who’ll be in London tomorrow:
Chris Rock introduces Red Hot Chili Peppers
Set: ‘Can’t Stop’/'Dani California’/'So Much I’/'By The Way’
They will probably play at around 17:30 GMT, but I heard that from people who were most likely counting how much time it will take for each artist to perform, so do not rely on that information.
All the performers and setlists are here. As the most of the world will be showing Live Earth on TV, as a direct broadcast, check your local TV channels for broadcasting times.
