Two more sets of photographs and one review of the Troubadour improvisation have been added to the site. Please, click on the thumbnails to see the full albums. The second one is the work of Tony Kandalaft and the first one of Tara.
And here is Tara’s review* of that great night!
*Will be on the gigography page once it’s up again.
I got there a little after 8pm. stood around for about 45 min, then the Warpaint girls came in and were talking to fans and friends, followed by John and then Josh… they all went upstairs to get ready and settled.
The first band WEAVE! came on at about 9:00pm. John kept walking back and forth and then stopped and stood by the girls from Warpaint, who were watching the band from the crowd, for a while, then went back upstairs…
Then Warpaint came on.
I think they were probably on for maybe approx. 20min-30min? John was working the sound for their set…
While that was going on, my mum was standing in the back and all of a sudden Flea was standing beside her and they exchanged greetings (my mum came with me because she’s the one who got me into RHCP at the age of 4, lol, and none of my other friends are into seeing live bands, so, yeah…).
Then it was time for John, Flea, Josh, and Stella to perform. Man, everyone whipped out their cameras. It was all pure improv, and it was amazing! They were probably on for about 1hr or so. Then when they were finished they just took off upstairs. And I believe it was John’s guitar tech and some people i recognized from the Off The Map and roadwork DVDs who started tearing down the stage and packing up.
All in all it was a GREAT jam. simply amazing!

Until then, a set of great action photos (and the pedalboard and guitars are there, too) should paint the picture of unforgettable for you:click here! A sneak preview is below.

And, the album the previously posted photo will be in shall reside at this URI.
Watch the 2008 live photo gallery, as there will definitely be more updates.

John, Flea, Josh and Stella AT TROUBADOUR, TONIGHT!
11:43:29 CET | Viewed 212 times |
Many thanks to ezion retaw for this heads-up, with hopes that people who had Rock4Change tickets WILL see this.
As tonight they are obviously NOT playing at Rock4Change (it was postponed); it appears that John, Flea, Josh and Stella are not postponing their gig otherwise. They will play at Troubadour in LA at 10:30 tonight, after Weave at 08:30 and Warpaint at 09:30. The event is called An evening of musical improv with Flea, John Frusciante, Josh Klinghoffer and Stella Mozgawa.
The doors open at 8:00. Tickets are available at the door only for 15$ or via fax in advance (you can find the fax pdf template here). No Ticketmaster and no other way to get them in advance.
I hope someone’s going and that we can see some photos or media from this. Thanks everyone in advance, fingers crossed that people meant to go to Rock4Change WILL have a good time after all!

Rock4Change POSTPONED
17:24:00 CET | Viewed 82 times |
As stated on the event’s official website, Rock4Change Fall ‘08 concert is POSTPONED for the period between late October and late November, due to low ticket sales.
The festival goal of fully funding the Reforestation Project in Darfur (through Aid Still Required) and the Clean Springs Campaign in Uganda (through Hands Across Nations) was not reached with the number of tickets sold and therefore they’re starting a new campaign, which will result in even more big names performing and a possible TV broadcast to millions of people all around the world.
You can read the full statement here and, as soon as more information is available, it will be posted here.

Before you can see the update…
…if the most of subpages suddenly look like a sight of a major earthquake, if random pages disappeared or if they were suddenly password-protected when you accessed them (e.g. discography page which is under maintenance); I apologise. I’m experimenting with something and once it is done, everything will look normal. And that will be soon. Until then, I’m doing all that’s in my power to make them accessible. It will all be fixed within a week…and not just that, you’ll see.
OK, now you can see the update.
