An update on Rock4Change and a reminder

15:43:32 CET | Viewed 61 times | 0 comments

Rock4Change flyerIn case some of you can make it to Hollywood on 04th September, there still are tickets for Rock4Change. Isn’t there anything possibly better than seeing a wonderful live improvisation by John, Flea, Josh and Stella Mozgawa AND contributing financially to people in Africa? It’s not too late to change your minds and have a good time!

It’s also recommended to browse through Rock4Change MySpace page every now and then, they keep on adding interesting video clips with the performers talking about the event. Flea is in a couple of their PSAs, for example. And, the line-up has been extending and extending for the past couple of days. Currently, curiously enough, Rock4Change’s profile song is John’s The Past Recedes.

Also, there is a thread on this site’s BBS about the show and a meetup. Feel free to have a look. And, once again, if anyone’s willing to contribute media afterwards, that’d be cool. Thanks to those who offered help so far!

Site updates, 25th August 2008

23:52:00 CET | Viewed 260 times | 0 comments

This site update is like Sachertorte: in certain situations and circumstances, a bit too much. And while I’m 100% certain that it won’t make you fat, I would like to believe that it’ll make you, or at least some of you, hyper. Maybe because I’m lethargic by nature and I wish I were hyper. Enjoy!

Also: the competition voting is delayed a bit more, for unexpected reasons of financial nature. All the competitors will be emailed once it finally takes place, so there’s no need to worry. Technically, the voting can take place as well as announcing the winners; but I am currently not able to send out the prizes. I hope I shall be able to do so by this time next month. Sorry.

EDIT: The error with one of the pages’ names has been fixed (after three tries to figure out there was a typo). Thanks to whoever reported it. And thanks to whoever reported it for the 2nd time, too. I’m a total idiot sometimes, sorry.

  1. One XL set of magazine scans from 2002
  2. One of the sets of magazine scans from 2001 was updated
  3. The whole Live at Slane Castle DVD was screencapped
  4. One more set of screencaps from 2005
  5. Three pieces of traditional art, worth looking at!
  6. One live show from 2001 in mp3, with some extras

Read all about it in the extended portion of this update.

You can check for details about this documentary on its IMBD page, but there isn’t that much on it yet.

Many thanks to Maggie for this news.

Site updates, 18th August 2008

18:14:47 CET | Viewed 357 times | 0 comments

Today happens to be Invisible Movement message board’s thrid anniversary. There’s no party thread or anything this time, as a much more important reason to celebrate for both the site and the message board is set to take its place sometime in September or October. If you don’t know what that occasion might be, here’s a clue: numbers.

The board has been really active for the last couple of months, especially since the transfer to a faster server a couple of weeks ago, and currently there are more than 2200 registered members. In order to assure that everyone is nice and polite and that some things people can get away with in other places can’t and won’t be allowed, I have introduced a little award to be handed to the nicest and helpful member as chosen by the board’s community each 15th of the month. For more information, click here and if you’re an active forum member, do feel free to nominate people for the September 2008 award.

As for the site updates, here they are. It’s all a bit slimmer this time, but still enough to keep everyone full for the next 7-10 days.

  1. Two sets of live photographs; from 2006 and 2007
  2. A gorgeous photograph from 2000 by a professional
  3. Two sets of magazine scans
  4. A new gallery section for books and such…with some content in it, of course
  5. One new set of screencaps
  6. One more magazine article

Read all about it in the extended portion of this update.
