Non-Album Songs
Niandra LaDes era
- Ants is a song that appears on the cassette version of the album and it is featured in Perry Farrell’s movie Gift.
- Usually Just A T-Shirt is an accoustic song that appears on the cassette version of the album. It has similar lyrics as Untitled #3 and therefore it’s often mistaken for the acoustic version of that song. Some people also call it “Soul Removal”, which is yet another mistake, as Soul Removal would be the original name for Height Down, the John/River Phoenix duet from the second album (those two words are clearly audible in the part of the song sung by River).
- Unknown is a common name for the song John sings in the 1994 Vpro interview.
Smile From The Streets You Hold era
- Outside Space is the B-side of the 1997 Estrus vinyl single which preceeded the album and which was sold only through the internet. The song was teased on the previous album, as the outro for Mascara.
- Circles Of You, Water Falls Through, Dust Bin, What It Tastes Like, Elemental and two more unknown songs have been sung at some 1997 shows. Two among them are probably two songs omitted from Niandra.
TROWFTD/FTSI era
- Song For Toni, sang at a couple of RHCP and solo shows was never recorded in a studio and it’s dedicated to John’s ex-girlfriend, ms. Toni Oswald.
- Resolution is a bonus track on the Japanese version of TROWFTD. A demo of it leaked together with the untitled songs.
- Time Is Nothing is an instrumental off FTSI and a Going Inside b-side. A demo of it leaked together with the untitled songs as well.
- Beginning Again is a song off FTSI and a Going Inside b-side
- The Last Hymn is a Going Inside b-side, the only one among them that didn’t appear on the internet album as well.
- 06-Untitled, 09-Untitled, 10-Untitled, 11-Untitled and 12-Untitled are the songs that didn’t make it to TROWFTD, yet they somehow leaked onto the www, years later.
- Untitled 2000 and Back And Forth (To The Sun) are two songs that didn’t make it to the internet album. These are most likely not their real titles.
Later
- Forever Away, Dying Song, Leave All The Days Behind, Prostitution Song and Falling are the five songs that ended up on the Brown Bunny motion picture soundtrack. The third one appeared on FTSI as well, under the name Cut Myself Out.
- Of Before is a bonus track on the Japanese version of SCWP.
