RHCP, Dave Matthews Band and Wilco will honor Neil Young at MusiCares

The anual MusiCares gala night will take place on 29th January 2010 and, according to Rolling Stone, a couple of notable bands will honour the legendary Neil Young. One of them will be Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Dave Matthews, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mellencamp, Wilco and Crosby, Stills & Nash are just a handful of the artists set to pay tribute to legend Neil Young at the 2010 MusiCare’s Person of the Year gala on January 29th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will honor both Young’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-worthy musical achievements as well as his philanthropic work, which includes leading roles in both Farm Aid and the Bridge School benefit concerts. Both Mellencamp and Matthews serve on Farm Aid’s board of directors alongside Young.

Great news! I definitely believe John’s still a Chili Pepper – they wouldn’t be performing so soon if he wasn’t! …Right? ;-)

  5. Nick Bevan says:

Hell yeah! Johns already said rumors of him not being a Chili Pepper is untrue. I saw them at their last officle performance in Glasgow (not counting Reading and Leeds festival) and they were so amazing! They did look abit worn out, esp John. But it will be so interesting to see how they perform on the 29th Jan! Finnally after 2 and abit years, RHCP WILL ROCK THE JOINT AGAIN! :D
