So much confusion from pain and beauty. The energy he is channeling is so big and luminous that he had to shrivel into darkness to give it life. The energy feeds off of him. In the interview he says he feels good, he feels strong mentally and physically. I think he confused himself with the spirits that he let possess his vessel and sanctuary of life. The spirits used his body for a voice bringing them into our linear and time based reality. He sacrificed his existence for others in a different reality but a shared space.
