Chad Smith gave a couple of short interviews at this year’s MusicaRes event, prior to the anual Grammy awards and the one that got the most attention was surely the one about Red Hot Chili Peppers’ further plans; which definitely leaves us an open dor to speculate about the 10th album.
Mr. Smith was quotted saying:
“We’re just taking a little hiatus, just relaxing. We toured a lot in the last year and a half, so it’s family time, and then we’ll recharge and get together sometime this year and make some more music.”

This is one hell of a news Iva!….I read this news in the wikipedia prior to your entry and i knew you’d put it up the very next day…this a huge marale boost for all of us fans…oh God!….How’s it gonna be?…once again a smashing record whith lots of surprises?…no doubt it’d be that way…RHCP re always innovative and full of surprises….just as Flea mentioned back at the time of SA release,that album was just a recap of all they’d done to date and so it’s time for a new start…a new chapter’s gonna open with the 10th album….and no wonder that once again all the credit will go to John’s creativity….Oh man! I’m so excited,though the Peppers won’t take less than 2 years to record their material but just knowing that they’re back in the studio with Rubin would be a thriller!…RHCP RULES!
